Klean Kanteen, the first stainless steel reusable water bottle maker, is partnering with Subaru, America’s first zero-landfill automaker. Together, the pair will “leverage their passion for producing durable, long-lasting products,” according to Subaru’s U.S. Media Center.
Both companies are known for their love of nature, their penchant for partnering with non-profits and community-engagement organizations. One such non—profit is “Leave No Trace.” Another common thread both companies share is love of the earth – a principle that is quite clearly embodied in Subaru’s “Love Promise” principle, “Subaru Loves the Earth.”
Both Klean Kanteen and Subaru have committed support of the National Park Services’ Zero-Landfill Initiatives at parks such as Grand Teton, Yosemite, and Denali.
Klean Kanteen’s President & CEO Jim Osgood says “we run our business differently than most, and are committed to a triple bottom line approach…”
President and COO of Subaru of America, Inc. says something similar: “Subaru strongly believes in cherishing and protecting the environment so that generations to come can enjoy all of Earth’s natural wonders.” He also said, “We are thrilled to team up with Klean Kanteen to support our shared mission of environmental stewardship…”.
Though Klean Kanteen and Subaru have been working together for some time now, this formal partnership only serves to solidify their connection and commitment to taking care of, or, in a word, loving, the Earth. Because you know what makes a Subaru, a Subaru? That’s right. Above all, it’s love.
