What's New for the 2026 Subaru Outback
This upcoming edition of the Subaru Outback, ever popular among Cheney and Airway Heights drivers who commute daily on Interstate 90 and family adventurers taking trips to Spokane Falls, will look a bit different. The silhouette will be squared off, making the Outback even more wagon-like in appearance, while Subaru is promising more cabin space for passengers and cargo. A refurbished interior and updated Subaru tech features are also expected.
Engineered for Performance
Powertrain options remain the same for the 2026 Subaru Outback, which will come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower. Adventure seekers in Cheney and Medical Lake will appreciate the available 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, which increases output to 260 horsepower. For its major design change and refresh inside and out, the Outback, of course, remains true to the brand's adventurous spirit, offering standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive that you'll want for all-weather driving on variable road surfaces.
A Spacious, Comfortable Cabin
Inside the expectedly larger cabin, the 2026 Subaru Outback will offer a refined experience with high-quality materials and modern amenities. The Outback provides comfortable seating for five with 109 cubic feet of total passenger volume. Behind the rear seats, you'll find 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space for your gear - perfect for a hiking trip near Medical Lake. STARLINK Multimedia with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration comes standard.
Confidence-Inspiring Safety
Like current and the past few versions, the upcoming 2026 Outback will carry the Subaru EyeSight suite of driver aids, standard on all models. EyeSight includes collision avoidance, advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering, and more, taking some of the stress out of your commute from Nine Mile Falls. This suite of safety aids is bound to be updated, and we'll let you know what to expect as the 2026 Outback gets closer to its highly anticipated debut.
Advanced Subaru Tech at Your Fingertips
Along with a new frame and a refreshed look inside, the 2026 Outback is bound to feature some of the Subaru brand's latest tech innovations. We'd expect the large, tablet-style touchscreen to remain with the usual assortment of smartphone integration and crisp, clean audio rounding out the tech features. Give us an idea of what kinds of in-car tech features are important for you and we'll begin to sort through the 2026 Outback trim levels that are on their way to Spokane.
